BEVERLY HILLS If Emma Thompson were to stumble over a pot of gold, she'd probably polish the pot.
That may sound curious to people who know her as the exquisite egalitarian in ``Howards End'' or the ever-so-proper housekeeper in ``Remains of the Day.''
But the REAL Emma Thompson is better served in ``Junior,'' an Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy in which she plays a bumbling and klutzy scientist who trips over her own feet even when she's not standing.
Actually, the British Thompson (who talks like the landed gentry) comes from blue-collar stock and started as a comedienne.
