QLD:Flood-hit Lockyer Valley needs volunteers

BRISBANE, Feb 28 AAP - Queensland's flood ravaged Lockyer Valley needs volunteers to
help with the long-term recovery of local communities.

Mayor Steve Jones says government efforts are winding down, and more volunteers will
be needed in the months ahead.

"Most state and federal government disaster response and clean-up activities now are
winding down and response teams are leaving the Lockyer Valley," he said in a statement
on Monday.
