FED: Not a "bad batch", vaccine maker says

MOUNTING CONCERNS, REACTIONS TO SEASONAL FLU VACCINE IN KIDS:



March 19 - WA Health begins a program of offering free seasonal flu vaccines to healthy
children aged under five.



April 9 - Two year-old Queensland toddler Ashley Jade Epapara is found dead in her
cot hours after receiving the seasonal flu vaccine.



Mid April - More than 20 recently-vaccinated young children are rushed to a Perth hospital
with high temperatures leading to fits.



April 23 - Chief Medical Officer Professor Jim Bishop advises GPs nationwide to stop
giving the vaccine to the under fives, pending a TGA investigation.



April 27 - More than 250 WA children are reported as having adverse reactions, as other
states compile data on dozens more potential cases.
