EcomXML, Inc., a leading provider of underlying software solutions enabling the guaranteed business exchange of data within and between organizations, today announced the appointment of Sam Bizzarro to Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development.

Mr. Bizzarro, with more than 20 years' experience in sales and sales management, will oversee all sales, alliance and business development activities at EcomXML. He will focus nationally on the pharmaceutical, healthcare, telecommunications and financial services verticals offering them the highest level of data delivery and acceptance technology solutions available today.

Mr. Bizzarro comes to EcomXML after holding positions as Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Logic Works, a $60 million public software company; and at Prescient Systems, a startup software company in the supply chain industry.

At Logic Works, Mr. Bizzarro helped to grow sales from $40 to $60 million in 18 months, and guided a 60 person sales force through two acquisitions. While with Prescient Systems, Mr. Bizzarro was instrumental in executing on OEM agreements to bundle their software with two leading ERP vendors.

Prior to Prescient Systems and Logic Works, Mr. Bizzarro has held various sales and management roles during his career at companies such as Siemens Corporation, Sequent and MAI Basic Four.

Mr. Bizzarro has a strong background of rapidly growing sales revenue in startups and with non-market leaders through both direct sales efforts and through partnerships. In his 20 years in the industry, he has led several companies in new account sales in both sales and sales management. Mr. Bizzarro has also formed and implemented partnerships with large software companies such as SAP, Oracle and Lawson Software.
